PARTNERSHIPS AND SALES ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Unsettled is searching for someone to lead sales and partnerships for the Remote Labs. We are looking for someone experienced in selling services or learning and development programs into large companies.

You bring strong B2B sales experience and you want to use it to shape how Unsettled can be a major player for companies implementing new ways of work future. You are ready to be a leader more than a middle manager.

The primary responsibility for this role is to bring in new leads and opportunities from large employers that need our help to create better systems for management, engagement, and productivity within their teams.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A NATURAL NETWORKER.

Your friends and colleagues know how much you love to meet new people and build relationships with other professionals. You are reliable, follow-up and follow through diligently, and are well-liked by your peers. You do not come off as sales-y, but as someone who is passionate about the impact your work has.

A GIFTED COMMUNICATOR.

You easily lead conversations, meetings, and dialogue and have deep experience doing this for corporate clients. You know the value of asking thought-provoking questions, the importance of thorough preparation, and the need to be adaptable in the moment. You also know the expectations and culture in large organizations, from Fortune 1000 companies to the world’s largest philanthropic foundations.

A SELFLESS APPROACH.

You are customer- and team-centric. You care deeply about seeing people succeed and grow. You know how to support and challenge people in the right ways. You fundamentally view your role as the one who is there to understand and serve a client and their team. When you work internally with your core team, you bring strong communication skills to support teamwork, track results, meet deadlines, and smoothly handoff opportunities to your colleagues.

A PROFESSIONAL.

You see yourself as a professional in all you do. You’re at home inside of the c-suite and the HR offices, are able to manage both small and big tasks, and function well in both solo and group work. You are polished and will put in the work on the backstage to be prepared and relaxed on the frontstage. You know how to bring an authentic diplomacy to how you present yourself, even in tough situations. You always aim to deliver the highest quality of work and you’re an optimist about the role business and business leaders have in contributing to the world.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position’s responsibilities include:

  • Bringing in new business opportunities from new contacts at organizations that have gone remote or hybrid
  • Managing our pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, deals, and relationships across the stages
  • Taking calls, emails, and virtual meetings with leads to share Remote Labs value proposition and to learn how we can help them
  • Researching prospects to evaluate the opportunity, prioritize it, and ensure our team understands the nature of each lead
  • Regular follow-up with leads to ensure they understand our offerings, timelines, etc.
  • Professionally handled relationship management both externally and internally
  • Liaison between leads and Remote Labs’ Experience Team to coordinate the proper pitches, materials, and offerings based on the leads needs

QUALIFICATIONS

More than anything, we are assessing your style, approach, and fit for this role. We are looking for someone who is eager to grow with us and learn the Unsettled style, approach, and needs. Your degrees or previous job titles won’t impress us as much as how you show up to this work. We are assessing the candidate and your potential more than we are a multiyear track record of proven sales. For the right person, this could be a junior sales position, or for the right veteran, you could come in and have leadership.

STRUCTURE & COMPENSATION

This will be a part-time/fractional role. We do not expect to turn into a full-time role. Why? Because we believe that fractional roles are a major piece in “future of work” that’s already arriving. You are looking to feel part of a team, but love autonomy as well. You don’t see yourself as a consultant as much as a part-time team member who wants to join our team and be around for the long haul. To that end, we plan to compensate based on a monthly retainer as well as commission.

HOW TO APPLY

Our Impact

“Unsettled is more than travel, it’s more than a work trip, it’s a life-affirming experience where I got to explore who I am and who I want to be in the world. My Unsettled cohort encouraged me, listened to me, challenged me, reflected myself back to me, gave me space to grow, and cared for me. I’ve never laughed so much in one month! I returned from my experience with new-found strength, resilience, and peace, and with some what I hope will be life-long friends.” – Tanya
