What Could 24 Hours Living Unsettled in Buenos Aires Look Like?

The endless creativity of porteños, the residents of this vibrant city, is evident everywhere you turn. For one month this October or November, dive into Buenos Aires’ epicurean culture, cool speakeasies, and endless creativity. The possibilities are endless.

Here’s what 24 hours could look like living Unsettled in Buenos Aires…

8.00 AM – WALK THROUGH PALERMO

Wake up, put on your walking shoes and head down the colorful, graffiti-filled and tree-lined streets of Palermo Soho — the busiest barrio in Buenos Aires, most popular with expats. Tired? Grab a fresh single origin roast at the Lab Cafe, sit on a bench at Parque Tres de Febrero and just people watch…

10.30 AM – BIKING AROUND LA BOCA

What’s the best way to explore the historical areas of Buenos Aires? Rent a bicycle and pedal through San Telmo, La Boca, and the Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for bright murals and political street art.

12.00 PM – MATE COFFEE BREAK

For locals, a well-prepared mate replaces a morning cuppa. The best part of stopping for one of these? It’s naturally caffeinated leaves will give you the focus and alertness without the jitters. Win-win! You’ll find many local mate stands around the city.

1.30 PM – RAMEN AT MIRUTAKI

Perfect for something warm and light in between Skype meetings, this traditional Japanese restaurant serves some of the best sushi and ramen in town. Get a seat on the table facing the road for some people watching in Ángel Justiniano Carranza.

5.00 PM – VIBRATIONAL MEDICINE

Get some R&R in the leafy barrio of San Isidro for a private session of vibrational meditation, healing, and tarot card reading. Book a session with Sandra Gutierrez in her beautiful studio home. Book her here.

7.45 PM – COCKTAIL HOUR AT FLORERIA ATLANTICO

One of the first speakeasies in the city, this bar is as cool as it gets. To get in, you walk to the back of a flower shop, open a refrigerator door and step down to the basement bar. It’s cozy, it’s beautiful, and it’s a local secret. Ask for anything gin-based; they make their own gin!

10.30 PM – DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY… TO DRUMS

You can’t spend 24 hours in Buenos Aires without a little boogie and a tango. Hit up La Bomba de Tiempo, a local favorite, where every Monday a 17-piece improvisational drum group take up the stage. It’s impossible to not dance… maybe even until 6am.

What could we get up to tomorrow?
