GIVEAWAY ALERT: The Upside of Quitting

By: The Unsettled Team

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to stop? To let go? To intentionally move on?

In a culture driven by success and hustle, creating and doing, accomplishing and finishing, quitting is often a dirty word. Yet there’s often an upside to quitting. Think about it. To pause something because it’s no longer serving you. It could be a job, a relationship, a business idea, that book you’ve been trying to write since 2017, or a city you were trying to make home… But in the end, it’s just not working out. We are talking about quitting something that’s holding you back. Something that’s stopping you from opening up more space in your life to contribute to the life you are meant to be creating.

We would never imply to quit impulsively. Quit with grace and quit when you find yourself stuck in a routine that isn’t leading to growth, meaning, or movement in the direction you want to be headed. When we find ourselves living in that hamster wheel and feeling stagnant, it can be a sign that it is time to make a change.

What is an area of your life that can use a little bit of nourishment? A little expansion? What is an actionable step (and it doesn’t have to be quitting!) that you can take toward making a change, or making space for discovery?

We are not encouraging throwing in the towel on your present life, but we will always encourage the continuous search for new ways of stepping fully into YOUR LIFE.

That is why we are giving away a spot on Unsettled: Sacred Valley in February 2020 (Terms & Conditions here). All you have to do is share your most inspiring quitting story on our Instagram. Even if you don’t plan on going to the Sacred Valley with us, we want to hear your most inspiring story of when you quit something that no longer contributed to your life.

Tell us your story in the comments and celebrate the journey you have taken. A journey that does not end with “giving up” but begins with endless possibilities.

This could be you this February!

And there is a BONUS! Share the Instagram post with or tag someone in your life who is ready for a change, or who has a great intentional quitting story, and nominate them to share their story. Our giveaway ends November 15; share your story now!
