8 of the Most Unusual and Inspiring Workspaces on Unsettled Retreats

By: Naomi Matlow, Associate Editor & endless pursuer of the most unusual office space…

In all of our Unsettled locations we provide easily accessible coworking spaces so that you can stay connected to your work life, go “heads down” and focus on a conference call you have to take from halfway around the world, and be present for what your work requires of you. But it is not unusual for people to take living Unsettled to the max and create their own pop-up home offices. By staff and alumni alike, Unsettlers can get quite creative. What’s an office other than a place where you can be the most productive, right?

Here are a few workspaces that Unsettled has used so far…

Traveling to Bali, alumni Amelia created her own Villa studio…

Amelia is a corporate lawyer in Sydney who joined Unsettled: Bali for an artistic sabbatical from corporate life. She made her own creative studio inside our Unsettled villa!

Rooftops capped with a cerveza and a view in Medellin

Medellin alumni, Sarah Saroo, found the mountain views atop our coworking space an inspirational view for taking those work calls.

Authentic Italian cafes while traveling in Tuscany

Co-fouder, Michael Youngblood enjoyed an espresso while catching up on work emails in Italy.

A sailboat off the coast while traveling in Barcelona

A Spanish sailboat is the perfect work spot for Unsettled co-captain, Jonathan Kalan.

Check out Experience Leader Corey Schultz’s makeshift office at Unsettled: Nicaragua

In Playa Santana, Nicaragua, our coworking space is onsite at our surf lodge. But according to Corey, the best wifi is not only by the pool but in the pool.
