Unsettled is a truly co-created experience. Every week, we like to highlight participants who are part of creating our experiences at destinations around the world, and share their story. This week, meet Sara and Bart who are travelling together with us in Bali.
WHO:
Sara and Bart
WHERE:
Bali
HOMEBASE:
Somewhere in California…we’ll let you know when we figure out where we end up!
WORK:
Sara: Real job? Assistant Director on television. Passion? I run a travel and lifestyle blog called What The Girls Say.
Bart: I’m currently in transition period. I was in the military, so you can say I’m in between careers.
PASSION:
Sara: People. When all is said and done, it’s the people in your life who are the most important in the end.
Bart: My dream is to be a professional bass fisherman. And eventually fish the BASS Elite Series tournaments on a full-time basis.
SUPERPOWER:
Sara: I can find cheap flights and some epic travel deals!
Bart: I have an uncanny ability to make other people do things they otherwise would never try.
WHY DID YOU JOIN UNSETTLED?
Sara: I was excited to connect with like-minded people, and work on my blog in a beautiful place. Three weeks on, we’ve ended up making tons of new friends, and seeing amazing places together… and also doing very little work (all by choice, of course!).
Bart: After 10 years in the military, I wanted to clear my mind and get a different perspective on life. Meeting, living, and working with people from all over the world seemed like a perfect opportunity to find a new direction in my life. Plus, it’s Bali!
Unsettled, to us, means saying no to the status quo. It’s not living the mediocre life or falling for the “American Dream”. It means living a life that’s full of surprises, adventure, and escaping ‘normalcy’. It’s breaking the chains of your everyday routine, and seizing the day.
JOIN SARA & Bart, PLUS OUR HUNDREDS OF OTHER ALUMNI WHO’VE TAKEN THE LEAP, AND START YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE…
