Unsettled: Sacred ValleyWELCOME TO THE PERUVIAN HIGH ANDES
Welcome to The Sacred Valley.
Your Journey into the Unknown Begins Now.
In the Peruvian Highlands lies the cradle of the Incan Empire, the awe-inspiring Sacred Valley. We will explore this culturally rich region by visiting Urubamba Valley, the town of Cusco, archaeological sites, local communities still modeled on traditional living, and of course, the spectacular wonder that is Machu Picchu.
With Unsettled as our guide, we will follow a path that’s much deeper than simply moving from Point A to Point B. We’ll take our time to reflect on this journey, led as much by a search for meaning as a quest for adventure. As much to understand humanity’s past as our personal, unbounded future.
This 1-Week Unsettled Adventure offers a curated yet flexible platform to explore this remarkable region. You will have open-exploration days in Cusco for you to wander at your leisure. We will host workshops and discussions to reflect on this experience. And we will travel together through the Sacred Valley by foot, car, train, and, hell, maybe even llama, to reach the peak of this experience, Machu Picchu.

Unsettled: Sacred Valley is like nothing we’ve ever experienced at Unsettled. There is no work component. In fact, look forward to being completely disconnected for most, if not the entire, trip. That’s the point. Take inspiration from the unparalleled surroundings, your peers, and the vastness of one of the most beautiful places on earth. You will learn. You will grow. You will be challenged. This is the adventure of a lifetime.
Unsettled is a community for those who embrace the unknown and value meaningful human connection. We bring together the intellectually curious who seek to replace routine with adventure, and are looking for a co-created experience diving into the unknown. You will share the adventure of a lifetime in Peru alongside a curated group of peers who hold a wealth of experience far deeper than just their careers, and join a growing community of Unsettled alumni spread out over 80 countries around the world.
THE UNSETTLED (UN)ITINERARY
We meet in Lima before traveling to Cusco – the base camp of our adventures – by plane. If you are joining Unsettled in Lima, then your journey has already begun by this point, and you are ready to adventure on! If you are coming for Unsettled: Sacred Valley only, you are welcome to arrive the night before our planned departure and meet up with us in Lima before we fly to Cusco on the morning of February 9th.
Day one is for casually exploring and getting acquainted with Cusco. In the evening we’ll have a welcome dinner to set our intentions for this week. On day two, we will warm up together with a visit to local archaeological sites around Cusco, a traditional community, and the chance to orient and soak it all in.
Day three is open and yours to explore – we will help you curate your own day, whether you want to hang back and explore the cafes and take it easy or go on a full day hike in the surrounding mountains. On days four through six, our journey takes us deep into the Sacred Valley as we head towards Machu Picchu – along the way staying in mountain lodges, taking day hikes, visiting local agricultural markets, before we reach the summit, where you will have the day to explore, hike, and learn about this magnificent site.
Our final day has some built in free time as well as reflection time together and the chance to celebrate our farewell before flying back to Lima for wherever your next adventures take you.

Our Experience Philosophy
This is not traditional group travel. We don’t follow a flag or hop on a bus. We explore, we get lost, we live in the moment. Yes, there are some key experiences we host and a deeply thoughtful curation and calendar of events to explore. However, we believe that experiences are more powerful when we step into them and take ownership over what happens in the moment. We provide the platform. You choose your own adventure.
No two trips are ever the same. We engineer for serendipity, but we do not overthink it. We show up and find ways, in the moment and throughout the experience, to create secret meetups, popup adventures, or hidden ways to invite you along for the unexpected. We take risks when they show up and invite the opportunity to push ourselves. We’ll explore some of the city’s “unmissable” sights, sounds, and experiences, but be prepared to embrace the unknown.
We don’t limit ourselves in the depth of our conversations nor the outcomes we can imagine for ourselves. We remove the expectations placed on us, and create a space where you can push your comfort zones, challenge your perspectives, and discover new ways of working, living, and being. When we live and travel unbounded, we are unconstrained by limits. It’s a mindset and an approach to everything we do.
… And Still Unsettled
Don’t worry. This isn’t a free-for-all. As with any Unsettled experience, we’re obsessed with quality over quantity, and craft each experience with the intention of inspiring a deeper sense of growth, meaning, and adventure in our lives. We tap into the creativity, cultural context, local philosophy & spirituality, and innovative elements of each destination as a way to bring greater perspective and learning to our work and professional lives.
